Ex-Exec Of Air Cargo Co. Exits Price-Fixing Case

Law360, New York (February 13, 2012, 2:07 PM EST) -- A Florida federal judge dismissed an indictment Friday against an ex-Florida West International Airways Inc. vice president accused of conspiring to fix rates on air cargo shipments, upholding a magistrate judge's conclusion that the former executive was protected by a 2009 plea deal.

U.S. District Judge Robert N. Scola Jr. adopted Magistrate Judge Edwin Torres' Dec. 9 report and recommendation, which concluded that ex-Former Florida West Vice President Rodrigo Hidalgo was covered by a 2009 plea deal involving LAN Cargo SA.
