Samsung Unit Inks $3B Deal To Build Aussie Gas Site

Law360, New York (February 13, 2012, 11:30 PM EST) -- A Samsung Group construction unit has inked a 3.05 trillion won ($2.72 billion) deal with Japanese energy company Inpex Corp. to build an offshore natural gas processing facility as part of a $34 billion subsea project in northern Australia, it said Monday.

The central processing facility, scheduled to be delivered by the end of 2015, will be part of the new Ichthys liquefied natural gas plant in Australia's Northern Territory, according to Samsung Heavy Industries Co. Ltd.
