Obama Budget Would Trim Health Entitlements By $350B

Law360, New York (February 13, 2012, 7:43 PM EST) -- President Obama will try again to cut upwards of $350 billion from Medicare and Medicaid over the next 10 years without attempting to structurally change the entitlements, according to his proposed budget released Monday.

The changes are similar to ones the president offered the joint congressional committee on deficit reduction last fall, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services officials said.
