Lemonheads Candy Maker Sued In 'Nuthead' Mark Battle

Law360, New York (February 15, 2012, 7:54 PM EST) -- Lemonheads maker Ferrara Pan Candy Co. Inc. was hit Tuesday with a preemptive suit in Minnesota federal court by a snack maker trying to stake its claim to the trademark “Nutheads.”

Ferrara Pan has been battling with KLN Enterprises Inc. over the trademark since July, when Ferrara Pan filed an opposition to a U.S. Patent and Trademark Office application submitted by the Minnesota-based KLN to register the Nutheads mark, according to the suit.
