India Launches WTO Dispute Over Turkey's Cotton Policy

Law360, Los Angeles (February 14, 2012, 6:25 PM EST) -- India on Monday launched a complaint in the World Trade Organization over Turkey's cotton yarn import policies.

India has “requested consultations” under the WTO dispute settlement system, the first step in initiating a dispute in the trade body. India may request that the dispute over Turkey's import measures be adjudicated by a panel if the parties are not able to resolve their conflict within 60 days, the WTO said.
