US Must Ease Up On Exports To China, Xi Says

Law360, San Diego (February 15, 2012, 10:44 PM EST) -- The U.S. needs to ease controls on high-tech civilian exports to China as soon as possible and make other changes to its economic policies to address its trade deficit with Beijing, Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping said Wednesday.

“It is very important for addressing the China-U.S. trade imbalance that the U.S. adjusts its economic policies and structure, including removing various restrictions on exports to China,” said Xi, who is expected to become China’s next president in March 2013.
