ITC To Investigate Expansion Of Duty-Free List

Law360, San Diego (February 16, 2012, 4:49 PM EST) -- U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk asked the U.S. International Trade Commission last week to review the potential economic effects of adding cotton and other products to the list of items that receive duty-free treatment under the Generalized System of Preferences.

Kirk notified the ITC in a Feb. 10 letter that the Trade Policy Staff Committee has decided to accept petitions for the 2011 annual review for modification of the GSP.
