Ex-National Century Exec's Sentence Stands: 6th Circ.

Law360, Washington (February 16, 2012, 7:17 PM EST) -- A federal appeals court determined on Wednesday that resentencing a former National Century Financial Enterprises Inc. executive does not constitute double jeopardy, despite his claims to the contrary.

In a decision issued Wednesday, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit upheld Roger Faulkenberry's 10-year prison sentence for counts of securities fraud, wire fraud and conspiracy after two money laundering convictions were thrown out in an earlier appeal.
