EU Opens Probes Into Chinese Ceramics, Pipe Fittings

Law360, San Diego (February 16, 2012, 10:36 PM EST) -- The European Union on Thursday initiated investigations into whether ceramics and pipe cast fittings from China were being dumped in Europe, the same day the EU’s trade head reminded China that the door of free trade has to open both ways.

The European Commission said it is opening one anti-dumping proceeding over imports of ceramic tableware and kitchenware from China and another over imports of threaded tube or pipe cast fittings, made of malleable cast iron, from China, Thailand and Indonesia.
