Wash. Board Approves Up To $800M For KKR, Oaktree Funds

Law360, New York (February 17, 2012, 2:40 PM EST) -- The Washington State Investment Board has approved commitments of up to $400 million each to funds sponsored by private equity giants KKR & Co. and Oaktree Capital Management LP, a spokeswoman for the board said Friday.

The board approved the commitments and set investment ceilings for them at a meeting Thursday, according to spokeswoman Liz Mendizabal. The allocations are for KKR Asia Fund II LP and Oaktree Opportunities Fund IX LP, a debt restructuring investment vehicle.
