SemGroup Joint Venture Proposes New Okla. Oil Pipeline

Law360, New York (February 21, 2012, 5:07 PM EST) -- SemGroup Corp., Gavilon Midstream Energy LLC and Chesapeake Energy Corp. on Tuesday announced plans to build a 210-mile oil pipeline to connect the crude market hub in Cushing, Okla., with new drilling along the Oklahoma-Kansas border.

The pipeline is the second to be announced this year to transport growing production from the Mississippi Lime oil play, where advanced drilling techniques have breathed new life into a field once considered dry.
