EPA Sends Water Protection Guidance To White House

Law360, New York (February 23, 2012, 1:30 PM EST) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency sent its long-awaited clean water protection guidance to the White House Tuesday for review, bringing the agency closer to expanding the types of waters protected under federal law.

The EPA’s guidance, if cleared by the Office of Management and Budget, will increase the number of streams, wetlands, and other waters that fall under the purview of the Clean Water Act.
