Pfizer Sues Eli Lilly, Icos in Canadian Federal Court Over Impotence Drugs

Law360, New York (November 13, 2003, 12:00 AM EST) -- U.S. drugmaker Pfizer has sued rivals Eli Lilly and Icos in Federal Court of Canada in a dispute over patents, seeking to stop its competitors from marketing the anti-impotence drug Cialis, the Edmonton Journal reported.

Cialis, to be marketed and sold in Canada by subsidiary Eli Lilly Canada, received regulatory approval in September after four years of clinical trials and will be sold as early as this month.
