KPMG Keeps Up Fight Over New Century Documents

Law360, New York (August 1, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In the wake of a bankruptcy judge's ruling that an examiner could probe bankrupt New Century Financial Corp.'s dealings with KPMG LLC, the auditing firm has objected to efforts by the official committee of unsecured creditors to make it produce documents in the case.

In a motion filed Wednesday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, KPMG said it opposed a motion by the official committee of unsecured creditors asking the court to authorize the production of documents.
