McKesson Can Collect Dairy Funds From Iran: DC Circ.

Law360, New York (February 28, 2012, 6:31 PM EST) -- The D.C. Circuit on Tuesday affirmed McKesson Corp.'s right to recover from the Iranian government for its share in a dairy that Iran took over more than 30 years ago, but said the company could not collect $23.9 million in compound interest.

The appeals court affirmed that McKesson had a right to recover for expropriation under the 1950s-era Treaty of Amity between the U.S. and Iran as construed under Iranian law. The company is entitled to an award based on the value of its expropriated interest...
