U.S. Mulls WTO Action Over India Chicken Policies

Law360, New York (February 29, 2012, 9:48 PM EST) -- The U.S. is considering bringing a World Trade Organization case against India over its restrictions on poultry products from the U.S., a top trade official told lawmakers Wednesday.

The Obama administration is "extraordinarily frustrated" with India's failure to apply internationally recognized scientific standards for poultry exports, U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk told the House Ways and Means Committee.
