GDF Suez, Others To Develop Indonesian Geothermal Projects

Law360, New York (March 2, 2012, 5:44 PM EST) -- GDF Suez SA, International Power PLC, PT Supreme Energy and Sumitomo Corp. have struck a 30-year power purchase agreement with an Indonesian state-owned utility for two geothermal energy projects, the consortium announced Friday.

IPR-GDF Suez Asia — a joint venture of France's GDF Suez and its U.K.-based unit International Power — Indonesia's PT Supreme Energy and Japan's Sumitomo reached the deal with Indonesian electric utility PT PLN Ltd. for two 220-megawatt geothermal projects on the Indonesia island of Sumatra.
