Invisalign Maker Tells ITC Rival's Imports Infringe Patents

Law360, New York (March 2, 2012, 6:48 PM EST) -- The developers of the Invisalign teeth straightening system petitioned the U.S. International Trade Commission on Thursday to determine whether the successor to a dissolved competitor is again importing products that infringe the company's patents.

Align Technology Inc. said in its complaint that ClearCorrect Operating LLC is violating several of its patents by importing into the U.S. data sets used in the construction of braces that infringe Align's line of transparent orthodontic mouthpieces.
