Agencies Hiding Spending On Ocean Permit Plan, GOP Says

Law360, New York (March 7, 2012, 3:04 PM EST) -- U.S. House Republicans blasted President Barack Obama's top environmental policy adviser on Wednesday for failing to specify how much the administration planned to spend in the next year on its initiative to speed up the permitting process for ocean activities.

In testimony before the House Committee on Natural Resources, U.S. Council on Environmental Quality chairwoman Nancy Sutley was unable to detail the amounts federal agencies had reserved for the administration's national ocean policy under questioning from the panel's Republicans.
