DOE Touts New Clean Fleet Partners Amid Gas Price Criticism

Law360, New York (March 5, 2012, 8:33 PM EST) -- Pacific Gas and Electric Co., Best Buy Co. Inc., and two other companies have joined the Obama administration's year-old public-private partnership to reduce gasoline consumption, the U.S. Department of Energy announced Monday, as the White House faces mounting criticism over high gas prices.

The four companies, which include Veolia Environmental Services North America Corp. and Johnson Controls Inc., join more than a dozen others that are participating in the National Clean Fleets Partnership.
