Enzo Targets Abbott, Others Over DNA Testing Patents

Law360, New York (March 7, 2012, 1:13 PM EST) -- A unit of Enzo Biochem Inc. on Tuesday hit Abbott Laboratories, Becton Dickinson & Co. and Hologic Inc. with separate patent infringement suits in Delaware federal court, alleging that the biotechnology companies used protected technology in their DNA-based diagnostic tools.

The suit adds the three to an expanding list of companies that the Enzo division, Enzo Life Sciences Inc., has gone after for allegedly infringing its gene-mapping patent.
