ABB Wins $60M Iraq Power Plant Contract From Shell

Law360, New York (March 8, 2012, 6:11 PM EST) -- Swiss engineering behemoth ABB Ltd. has won a $60 million contract from a Royal Dutch Shell PLC subsidiary to build a new power plant in Southern Iraq, ABB announced Thursday.

ABB said the power plant will be operated by the Basrah Gas Co., a proposed joint venture between Iraq-based South Gas Co., Shell Gas Iraq BV, and Mitsubishi Corp. subsidiary Diamond Gas BV.
