Presidential Energy Report Stresses Oil, Gas Production

Law360, New York (March 12, 2012, 6:23 PM EDT) -- The Obama administration claimed credit for gains in oil and natural gas activity in a report released Monday on the White House’s energy strategy, highlighting its efforts to boost lease sales and stimulate oil and gas development.

The report, a one-year update on President Barack Obama’s energy security plan, touches on the success of new programs designed to diversify U.S. energy sources, tap into domestic supplies and improve energy efficiency, but gives special attention to expanding oil and natural gas production.
