GE Defense Found Too Broad In Mitsubishi Turbine IP Suit

Law360, New York (March 12, 2012, 5:33 PM EDT) -- A Florida federal judge said Monday that General Electric Co.'s argument against a Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. patent infringement suit over wind turbine technology failed to specify who withheld key information — part of the latest patent battle between the two companies.

The two companies have battled over renewable-energy patents in front of the U.S. International Trade Commission and a Texas federal court over the past several years, and Mitsubishi filed an antitrust suit in Arkansas in 2010 alleging that GE was using sham patent infringement...
