Express Scripts, Medco Delay Deal Pending FTC Review

Law360, New York (March 13, 2012, 12:18 PM EDT) -- Express Scripts Inc. and Medco Health Solutions Inc. said Monday that they would postpone completing their merger to give antitrust regulators more time to review the pharmacy benefits managers’ proposed $29 billion deal.

While the waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act relating to the mergers expired Monday, Medco and Express Scripts have agreed with the Federal Trade Commission not to close the deal for now, according to filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
