Survey Finds 51% Of Practice Groups Fail To Meet Standards

Law360, New York (March 13, 2012, 5:35 PM EDT) -- Over half of law firms' practice groups are failing to live up to their managing partners' performance expectations, according to a survey conducted by legal consultant Altman Weil Inc. released Tuesday.

Of the 81 firms with 50 or more lawyers in the U.S. and Canada that responded to the group's survey, just 49 percent of practice groups and 52 percent of group leaders received “very good” or “excellent” ratings in their overall performance from their managing partners.
