Allstate Prevails In FLSA Suit

Law360, New York (August 8, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Three former Allstate Insurance Co. employees accusing the insurance giant of improperly classifying them as exempt from federally mandated overtime pay in a larger multidistrict action suffered a setback Monday when a federal judge ruled that the classification was apt.

Finding that there was no dispute over material facts and adjudicating the facts in Allstate's favor, a judge in the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona on Monday granted the defendants' motion for summary judgment.
