ITC Says Knockoff Purses Infringe Louis Vuitton Marks

Law360, New York (March 14, 2012, 3:14 PM EDT) -- Louis Vuitton Malletier SA scored a win Tuesday when the U.S. International Trade Commission ruled that eight producers of knockoff handbags and luggage infringed the company's well-known monogram trademark.

With the ruling by Administrative Law Judge Charles E. Bullock, the ITC grants Louis Vuitton summary judgment that the imported handbags violate the U.S. Tariff Act.
