House GOP Questions Renewable Energy Program's Record

Law360, New York (March 15, 2012, 7:39 PM EDT) -- Congressional Republicans on Thursday challenged the track record of a renewable energy stimulus program the Obama administration has heralded as a success, calling on two top officials to turn over information on the program’s job creation and accounting.

In a pair of formal letters, U.S. House Energy and Commerce Committee leaders asked Energy Secretary Steven Chu and Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner for a range of information to justify the administration’s figures on the so-called Section 1603 program.
