Helmerich Rig Chief Denies Lying On Blowout Tests

Law360, New York (March 15, 2012, 6:26 PM EDT) -- A former Helmerich & Payne Inc. oil rig manager in the Gulf of Mexico has pled not guilty to lying to a federal inspector about testing and recording conducted on the rig's blowout preventer, his lawyer told Law360 on Thursday.

Donald Hudson, manager of Helmerich Rig 206, stands accused of lying to an agent from the U.S. Department of the Interior when he denied that he told his crew to falsify the blowout preventer system's records.
