Steel Cos. Demand Anti-Dumping Probe

Law360, New York (August 9, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A group of European steel companies has asked the European Union to take action against inexpensive steel imports, demanding that regulators initiate anti-dumping procedures against China.

Several of the European Union's largest steel producers, including ThyssenKrupp AG and Arcelor Mittal, made the request on Wednesday, according to ThyssenKrupp.

The companies asked regulators to look into allegations that Chinese companies are dumping cheap steel in member states.
