Bridgestone Prevails In Fed. Circ. 'Milanza' Tire Name Suit

Law360, New York (March 16, 2012, 1:57 PM EDT) -- The Federal Circuit on Friday sustained Bridgestone Corp.'s opposition to a trademark registration by Federal Corp. on the word Milanza for tires, ruling that it would likely cause confusion with Bridgestone's Potenza and Turanza tire lines.

The appeals court reversed a decision by the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, which had dismissed Bridgestone's opposition and found no likelihood of confusion.
