Bulgarian Watchdog Says 4 Fuel Cos. Fixed Prices

Law360, New York (March 16, 2012, 4:39 PM EDT) -- Bulgaria's antitrust watchdog on Friday accused four of the country's major oil and gas companies, including a division of Russia's Lukoil OJSC, of joining a cartel to fix prices on wholesale gasoline and diesel fuel.

The Bulgarian Commission for Protection of Competition said that Lukoil Bulgaria EEOD, Rompetrol Bulgaria JSC, Naftex Petrol Ltd. and a unit of Austria-based OMV, OMV Bulgaria Ltd., were suspected of conspiring to set prices for gasoline and diesel in violation of the country's antitrust law.
