Judge Keeps Hospital Sex Discrimination Case Alive

Law360 (August 9, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A district court judge has refused to dismiss a case brought by a woman who said a Scranton, Penn. community medical center didn't hire her because she's a lesbian.

Judge John E. Jones III of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania kept the case brought by Margaret Dolan against Community Medical Center Healthcare System (CMC) alive in his Wednesday decision, saying the suit should be tried in federal court.
