BOEM Seeks Input On Proposed Offshore Lease Sales

Law360, New York (March 19, 2012, 5:59 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of the Interior announced Monday it was seeking public comment on the environmental impact of two oil and gas lease sales it expects to hold off Florida and Alabama coasts, a key initial step in its new offshore leasing plan.

Bureau of Ocean Energy Management said agency officials will hold a series of scoping meetings next month to gather information from interest groups and the regulated industry for a forthcoming environmental review of the proposed leases.
