Travelers Settles Defective Slide Suit With Insurers

Law360, New York (March 20, 2012, 1:38 PM EDT) -- A Washington federal judge on Monday dismissed Travelers Property Casualty Co.'s lawsuit against a number of insurers after the final companies settled the claims that they owed defense costs in underlying litigation over defective slide parts.

U.S. District Judge Robert Lasnik dismissed the suit without prejudice, saying that Travelers, Ace American Insurance Co. and Canadian company Liberty International Underwriters had reported to the court on March 16 that they reached a settlement, the terms of which were not disclosed.
