Flight Attendants Bash Planned American Eagle Cuts

Law360, New York (March 21, 2012, 6:41 PM EDT) -- A flight attendant union on Wednesday slammed a call by American Eagle Airlines Inc., a subsidiary of bankrupt AMR Corp., for a $75 million reduction in annual labor costs, saying it was prepared to wage a legal battle against overreaching cuts.

"It is outrageous that American Eagle flight attendants are facing an attack on their contract simply because the cloak of bankruptcy allows for it,” said Robert Barrow, president of the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA at American Eagle, in a statement.
