Nissan Presses Ahead With Bid For Sanctions

Law360, New York (August 10, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Nissan North America Inc. is continuing its fight to win sanctions against the plaintiffs who brought a suit against it, General Motors Corp., DaimlerChrysler Corp. and several other prominent automakers, arguing that there should be punishment for bringing a suit with no evidence of wrongdoing.

In a motion filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maine, Nissan responded to an opposition motion filed by the plaintiffs last month saying their response “reveals that they sued...based on nothing more than a hunch.”...
