Bill To Nix Big Oil Tax Breaks Faces Monday Senate Vote

Law360, New York (March 22, 2012, 8:06 PM EDT) -- U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has scheduled a Monday vote on legislation to kill $2 billion in tax incentives for major oil companies, a bill backed by many Senate Democrats who say the subsidies only increase the companies' inflated profits, a Senate staffer confirmed Thursday.

While Reid mentioned earlier in the week that the bill would soon be on the table, on Thursday he put it on the calendar for Monday evening, according to a staffer for the bill's author, Sen. Robert Menendez, D-N.J....
