7-Eleven ATMs Tread On 5 Patents, Fed. Circ. Hears

Law360, Washington (April 2, 2012, 5:23 PM EDT) -- An exclusive patent licensee told the Federal Circuit on Monday that a lower court had misinterpreted a definition of the Internet, causing the court to mistakenly determine 7-Eleven Inc. ATMs didn't infringe five of its patents.

Automated Transactions LLC brought the case to the appeals court after a Delaware federal court found in favor of 7-Eleven's majority shareholder IYG Holding Co.
