FCPA, Bribery Laws Will Fuel White Collar Work, GCs Say

Law360, New York (March 23, 2012, 5:10 PM EDT) -- Better corporate compliance will mean fewer white collar cases for law firms, but those that remain will be extremely complex and lucrative thanks in part to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and the U.K.’s Bribery Act, a new corporate legal spending report says.

The FCPA, Bribery Act and similar anti-corruption measures elsewhere have created more potential jurisdictions for global companies to face prosecution, according to the 2012 BTI Strategic Review and Outlook for the U.S. Legal Services Industry report from the Wellesley, Mass.-based BTI Consulting Group....
