US Takes Minn. Rail Project Impact Study Order To 8th Circ.

Law360, New York (March 23, 2012, 6:35 PM EDT) -- The federal government on Friday appealed to the Eighth Circuit a lower court's order requiring government agencies to conduct a more rigorous environmental impact study for a $957 million light rail project to link the downtown areas of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minn.

No documents were immediately available outlining the nature of the appeal, and representatives for the U.S. Attorney's Office did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
