DOI Wants Input On Alaska Offshore Oil And Gas Plan

Law360, New York (March 26, 2012, 3:43 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of the Interior said Saturday it's seeking input on the possibility of oil and gas production off the coast of south-central Alaska, part of the Obama administration's proposal to expand offshore drilling over the next five years.

The DOI's Bureau of Ocean Energy Management said it's seeking industry input on the level of interest in possible oil and gas leases in the Cook Inlet area, estimated to contain about 1 billion barrels of oil and 1.2 trillion cubic feet of natural gas. BOEM...
