Petition Over Prempro Injury Suits Turned Down By High Court

Law360, New York (March 26, 2012, 7:30 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Supreme Court refused Monday to review a ruling that women who brought personal injury suits in New York against a Pfizer Inc. unit over hormone treatment Prempro could not renew their cases under Minnesota's longer statute of limitations.

The Eighth Circuit ruled in October that a Minnesota federal court had properly applied the full faith and credit clause, which calls for states to respect judgments made in other jurisdictions, in determining that the suits ending in a summary judgment for Wyeth on time-barring grounds...
