Auditor Spared In National Century MDL

Law360, New York (August 14, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In the multidistrict shareholder action against health care financier National Century Financial Enterprises Inc., a federal judge has tossed two putative class actions’ claims against R.J. Gold, the auditor of one of its subsidiaries.

R.J. Gold, according to Judge James Graham’s order, had for a time been the auditor for Chartwell Diversified Services Inc., a privately owned health care company that National Century acquired in 2000.
