FTC Orders ProMedica To Sell Ohio Hospital

Law360, New York (March 28, 2012, 4:58 PM EDT) -- The Federal Trade Commission has ordered ProMedica Health System Inc. to sell St. Luke's Hospital in Toledo, Ohio, having found that ProMedica's recent acquisition of the hospital would lead to higher prices for consumers, according to a decision made public Wednesday.

The decision follows ProMedica's full-commission appeal of an administrative law judge's December ruling.
