EEOC Wins Bias Suit For Bipolar Ex-Cottonwood Manager

Law360, New York (March 29, 2012, 4:06 PM EDT) -- A federal judge in Washington state has handed the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission a victory in one of its first disability discrimination lawsuits taken to trial concerning bipolar disorder, finding payday lender Cottonwood Financial Ltd. improperly fired a store manager, the agency said Wednesday.
