Regulator Says Pfizer Used Misleading Advertisement

Law360, New York (August 14, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Federal Regulators took drug company Pfizer Inc. to task on Monday for using misleading claims about the schizophrenia drug Geodon in an advertisement the drug company published in a professional journal.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration posted a letter it had written to Pfizer on its Web site Monday, in which it claimed Pfizer's advertisement misbranded the drug in violation of the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act.
