Senate OKs 2nd Term For FTC Chairman, Fills Commish Post

Law360, New York (March 30, 2012, 5:26 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Senate has approved a second term for Federal Trade Commission chairman Jon Leibowitz and appointed Republican Maureen Ohlhausen to her first term as FTC commissioner, the FTC said Friday.

Ohlahusen will leave Wilkinson Barker Knauer LLP's privacy, data protection and cybersecurity practice to join the FTC's five-member board as its second Republican commissioner for a seven-year term. She replaces Republican William Kovacic, who served on the FTC since January 2006.

Meanwhile, Leibowitz holds onto his place on the FTC, which he joined in 2004....
