U.S. Asks WTO To Intervene In Dispute With China

Law360 (August 15, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The United States has looked to the World Trade Organization to mediate its ongoing dispute with China over intellectual property rights, asking the international body to rule on its copyright infringement complaint.

U.S. Trade Representative Susan Schwab made the request on Monday, asking the WTO to establish a dispute resolution panel to determine whether Chinese copyright laws violate international intellectual property regulations.
